Institute Profile

With the DaF courses students acquire core competence for academic work as well as for a wide range of career fields that more broadly deal with the teaching of language and culture.

The DaF courses promote individual initiative, creativity and teamwork and teach key skills for the management of ideas, communication and quality. They support and demand that foreign knowledge and everyday cultures as well as decency, discipline, and respect are considered from a plurality of perspectives in a curiosity-driven communication culture.

The graduates are therefore qualified for a wide spectrum of international professional areas including the following:

  • editors in cultural, linguistic or use academic organizations
  • language and cultural analysts
  • knowledge and science management
  • journalism intercultural management and transcultural mediation
    publishing
  • media and political organizations
  • teaching and education
  • wherever communication is important irrespective of borders
